This program offers much more than financial support. It offers a caring relationship with an adult whose only interest is to help the student reach his or her full potential. We can never have too many people in our lives who care for us. The Mentor/Student relationship is a formula for success.

- Sponsors/Mentors pay all or part of their student's tuition for the four years of high school
- 100% of Sponsor/Mentor contributions go directly toward tuition, dedicated by partnership school
- Sponsors/Mentors serve as role models, working one-on-one with their students, providing direction and encouragement as they strive toward two goals: earning a high diploma and pursuing a college education
- The time commitment is flexible. Each Sponsor/Mentor is expected to commit four hours per month to their student, with consistent communication key to success
- Shepherds conducts introductory and refresher Mentor Training Sessions led by Dr. Susan Weinberger, aka "Dr. Mentor", Founder and President of the Mentor Consulting Group
- Shepherds facilitates the Sponsor/Mentor/Student introduction and relationship and Mentor networking through organized social and cultural events throughout the school year
