Your donation to Shepherds, no matter how small, makes a difference in our ability to:

• Offer tuition assistance for a quality education to students who cannot afford one and introduce a positive role model - a Mentor - to fill a void in their lives
• Recruit Sponsors who pay all or part of the student’s four-year tuition and Mentors who offer one-on-one direction and support over the high school journey
• Conduct mandatory Background checks, maintain liability insurance and offer Mentor Training Sessions and Refresher Courses with Dr. Susan Weinberger, aka Dr. Mentor, Founder and President of the Mentor Consulting
• Implement Shepherds' College Prep, Access and Readiness Program, helping students overcome three major life hurdles:  graduating high school, gaining entry to higher education and accessing ample financial aid/scholarship support to be able to afford to attend
• Schedule Field Trips to enrich student’s cultural experiences
• Plan Social events to enhance Mentor networking and Mentor/Student relationship
• Ensure dedicated Staff Supervision and support for Students and Sponsors/Mentors
• Maintain Staff Liaison with five Partnership Schools
• Develop Program Expansion Programs to Answer the Call of even more disadvantaged inner city Connecticut youth in new geographic areas
